Roisin and Emily visited John Mak's group at Stony Brook University on Long Island on April 30. John gave us a tour of his lab before we visited the New York State Dept of Environmental Conservation air quality measurement site at Flax Pond (you can find the online data here!), which is just to the north of Stony Brook University.

John will be flying around New York City and out over the Long Island sound as part of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) funded and Northeast States for Coordinated Air Use Management (NESCAUM) coordinated Long Island Sound Tropospheric Ozone Study (LISTOS) campaign in summer 2019. Plans are underway to get the Columbia/LDEO airborne Picarro up and running in his aircraft to add measurements of CO2, CH4 and CO to the payload.
