Group News

Ludda passed her Qualifying exam with flying colors last week. Her paper on aquatic CO2 and methane fluxes in water bodies in the YK Delta of south west Alaska is being polished and will hopefully be ready to submit soon. Congrats Ludda!! Since Arctic fieldwork is difficult this year, Ludda will be helping out on other projects close to home this summer.

Luke is being his usual awesome multitasker running 5 projects at once! His Arctic modeling work continues with CO2 and methane, while he is also working on air quality in New York City and doing some modeling of winds around India on the side. Plus he will be helping out on some of the methane observations around New York this summer.

Jamie is leading our research at Howland Forest, Maine this summer. She is also working on a manuscript from the 2019 OCS data from Harvard Forest.

Roisin is wondering how all the fieldwork she is involved in is going to happen (most of it in June!) but is happy that her summer teaching has been moved to fall.

Garima has decided to change research direction and has joined Dan Westervelt's African Air quality project. With such drive and passion, Garima will be a huge asset to Dan's project. Good luck Garima!

Recent undergraduates in the group will be going to grad school in Fall 2021. Charlotte will be joining UC Berkeley and Savannah will join UC Irvine. Bronte is already at UW. We're sorry to loose all our future colleagues to the west coast but the various schools are lucky to have them!
